Tomislav Vračić currently works as a Head of the Infrastructure Sector at at the Ministry of Public Administration, Croatia. He currently manages e-Citizens project and Open Data Initiative in Croatia. Almost entire career he devoted to the issues of development of electronic government and modernization of public administration. Some of the major projects and initiatives in which he participated previously are: Open Government Partnership, Central government portals gov.hr and Mojauprava, HITRO.HR, HITROREZ, HITRONet, e-Government Strategy, Public Administration Reform Strategy, Digital Switchover Strategy etc.

He also participates as an expert in the working bodies of the European Commission: the e-Government Expert Group and Coordination Group of the Program Interoperability Solutions for European Public Administrations (ISA Program). Besides, he is a member of the Managing Council CARNet, the Secretariat of the Institute of Public Administration and teaches at the Faculty of Law and the University College Algebra. He is co-author of several scientific papers in the field of electronic government and open data published in national and international journals.
